I'm using it primarily for DVD printing. I had some Kodak works with any printer paper lying around.

To be brutally honest, Epson's CD Print software isn't too good at all. I had some Canon paper lying around. Obviously the paper is important but the printer works great.

Of course, they almost give away the printer so they can sell you ink. The print head dried out to the point it couldn't be unclogged by even after-market cleaning kits. The on button takes a couple of pushes to turn on, strange, then it goes through some cleaning it looks like don't know if it uses ink though.

I was patient at first, but now after several months I can't stand it anymore.

I'm about to go office space on this piece of junk. Actual yields will vary for reasons including images printed, print settings, temperature a05 humidity. In addition to photo and document printing, the Artisan 50 can print high quality images and text directly onto ink jet printable CDs and DVDs.

I had no issues setting it up or installing the software I still work in Mac OS Yields are based on continuous printing of a suite of five black and color pages.

This purchase replaces my first Artisan 50 which I used for many years. Ultra-High Definition Prints With up to x optimized eppson and 6-color ink, the Artisan 50 produces razor sharp text documents and lab quality epaon. Shame that Epson doesn't have too many offerings on pearl or semi-glossy paper. The software is a bit cheesy, but it works. In the meantime, I can recommend the Epson Artisan I'm not yet sure whether the printer will support the Acoustica software that came with the R With its amazing maximum color resolution of x dpi, the Artisan 50 produces professional photo lab quality prints that resist fading up to years.

It produces very acceptable images.
